Changes to your mortgage

  • If you’re thinking about changing the term of your mortgage, reach out to our Customer Services team on 0333 344 2974 to explore your options.

  • We’ll keep you informed every step of the way. At least three months before your initial mortgage period ends, we’ll write to you with details about the options available to you. This will give you plenty of time to explore your choices, research alternatives, and complete the application process to ensure your new mortgage deal starts seamlessly as your current one ends.

     

    You can also discuss your options toward the end of your fixed period date with your broker.

     

    We’ll also send you a helpful reminder 30 days before your initial period ends.

     

    If no action is taken, your mortgage will move to our reversionary rate, which is a variable rate and may be higher or lower than your current rate, which may increase or decrease your monthly payment.

  • To settle your remaining mortgage balance and close your account, you’ll need to request a redemption statement. This statement will confirm the full amount required and is valid for 30 days from the date it’s produced.
